How it works
We are thrilled to offer you an AMAZING opportunity to try out our saddles before making a purchase! We understand that not everyone is comfortable buying a saddle without trying it out on their own horse first, so we've got you covered You can hire one of our wonderful saddles and see how it feels for you and your horses. Plus, we have a 10 day return policy to make sure you're completely satisfied. Check out the details below and get ready to ride in style!
1) A security deposit equal to the value of the demo saddle and accessories, is required up front. Please click the photos above to view the security deposit amount required. The deposit covers the price of the saddle in its current condition plus the accessories needed to trial the saddle. THE DEMO DEPOSIT IS NOT $120. This is the demo fee that is retained from your refund should you decide not to go ahead with ordering a new saddle or keeping the demo. All demo saddles are either brand new or near new as they are turned over relatively quickly. The demo saddle is not always the actual saddle as shown in the photos - it may be a different colour or leather. If you wish to make the security deposit payment via credit card, please visit this page where you will be taken to our secure shop. These funds will be held as security against the saddle and accessories until they are returned, with nil damage. Normal wear is expected.
2) You are responsible for the saddle until it is returned safely by Australia Post WITH SIGNATURE. You are liable for postage both ways. Postal insurance is recommended on the return trip, if the saddle does go missing, your security deposit cannot be refunded, it hasn't happened yet but never say never, I guess. It is important that you assume full responsibility for the saddles condition & safe keeping during the trial period. Experience has shown that damage to saddles usually occurs when they are transported in the back of a car. If you do need to transport the demo saddle, please do so using the box it came in.
3) The length of the trial is 10 days, this starts from when you receive the saddle, If you require any additional time, just reach out. If there is no one immediately waiting to trial the saddle, it should be okay.
4) Delivery charges are dependent on your location. We will deduct the postage costs and the demo fee ($120) from your refund once the demo saddle has been returned as per conditions stipulated above. If you wish to place an order for a new saddle, but not keep the demo saddle, the $120 demo fee is of course, waived. If you wish to keep the demo saddle, the $120 demo fee is waived. Credit card or PayPal fees incurred cannot be refunded.
5) Saddles and all accessories, must be returned in the same condition as they were received: clean and hair free. If the saddle or accessories are returned with excessive wear and tear including scratches and dents to the leather or excessive marking on girth straps or flaps and/or stirrups, a portion of your security deposit will be retained to cover this damage. However normal wear is expected! If the saddle and/or accessories are returned dirty, a cleaning fee of $25 will be deducted from your refund.
6) Please do not wear dark denim jeans when riding in any of our demo saddles, faded jeans are okay. Dark denim should be okay on black or dark brown saddles however. Studded jeans or jeans with bling on the pockets can also damage saddles so please refrain from wearing these also.
7) Please print and complete the Demo Booking Form below. Send it to us via email dianne@ghostsaddles.com.au. If the saddle is out on a demo already, you will be placed next in line. Your security deposit will not be required until the saddle is ready to be sent to you.
